Patient group

We have an active patient participation group at our practice.

A PPG is a group of patients, carers, and GP practice staff who meet to discuss practice issues and patient experience, and work together to improve the services provided by the practice.

Our Aims:

  • To foster good communication between the practice and patients
  • To promote patient involvement in the development of services
  • To help the practice meet the needs of the community it serves

Why Join the PPG?

  • Share your views and experiences
  • Help shape local services
  • Be a voice for patients
  • Contribute ideas for service improvements
  • Work with staff on health awareness initiatives

You don’t need any special skills or experience—just a genuine interest in health care and your local practice.

What Does the PPG Do?

Our group:

  • Meets regularly (in person or online)
  • Discusses new services or proposed changes
  • Supports health promotion events
  • Advises on practice communications (like the website or patient leaflets)
  • Acts as a "critical friend" to the practice
